The South San Antonio Bobcats will head out to face off against the MacArthur Brahmas at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday. South San Antonio is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.
It was a proper cat-fight when South San Antonio faced off against Southside on Friday. South San Antonio walked away with a 4-1 victory over Southside. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bobcats.
Southside's batters probably weren't too happy with Catalina Bonilla, who pitched a no hitter and racked up seven Ks (she gave up zero walks). That's the most strikeouts Bonilla has posted since back in February.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Leia Laque, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two). Christina Guerra was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, everything went MacArthur's way against Southside on Monday as MacArthur made off with a 7-1 win.
Kaylin Salazar spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on six hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Katelin Keller was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Sienna Richmond, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
MacArthur kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in four consecutive matches.
South San Antonio's record now sits at 9-6. As for MacArthur, the victory got them back to even at 7-7-1.
Wednesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. South San Antonio hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .355. However, it's not like MacArthur struggles in that department as they've averaged .324. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
South San Antonio skirted past MacArthur 6-5 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Will South San Antonio repeat their success, or does MacArthur have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
