Smith scored a full 42.1% of Montgomery Catholic's points, the 11th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Joanna Marlow, who scored four points along with eight rebounds and four blocks.
Trinity Presbyterian has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 20 points or more this season. They took their matchup at home on Thursday with ease, bagging a 61-33 victory over Pleasant Grove. The win was nothing new for Trinity Presbyterian as they're now sitting on eight straight.
Montgomery Catholic has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Trinity Presbyterian, they pushed their record up to 12-4 with that victory, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.
Montgomery Catholic was dealt a bruising 63-26 loss at the hands of Trinity Presbyterian in their previous matchup on Wednesday. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Montgomery Catholic was down 43-12.
