The Florence Gophers will head out on the road to take on the Safford Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Florence will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Florence didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Wyatt Stenson led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself. Darrius Samuels also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with nine. Stenson got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Safford fell victim to Pusch Ridge Christian Academy and their airtight defense on Friday. They were beaten by the Lions 48-0. The game marked the first time this year in which the Bulldogs were not able to get on the board.
This is the second loss in a row for Safford and nudges their season record down to 2-6. As for Florence, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
