The Stephens County Indians's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. The contest between Stephens County and Rabun County wasn't particularly close, with Stephens County falling 80-66. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Rabun County found their leader in underclassman Huey Blalock, who scored 38 points along with six assists and five rebounds. Those 38 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Hood, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds.
Stephens County's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 4-7. As for Rabun County, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-10.
Stephens County will take on Elbert County at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Elbert County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 last Friday. As for Rabun County, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Stephens County at 5:00 p.m.
