Even though The Pilgrim Academy Pioneers scored an imposing 58 points on Monday, the Atlantic Christian Cougars still came out on top. Atlantic Christian secured a 63-58 W over the Pioneers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Atlantic Christian also won the last time the pair played last Friday.
Noah Stokes was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 12 rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last eight games he's played. Ethan Costello was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Ayden Miller and Noah Brittin certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Miller dropped a double-double on 16 points and 15 rebounds, while Brittin scored 18 points along with two steals. Miller is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last seven games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Bobby Peterson, who scored ten points.
Atlantic Christian is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. As for The Pilgrim Academy, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-6.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Cumberland Christian the next time they take the court. Atlantic Christian will head out to face the Crusaders at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Pioneers will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
