The Satellite Scorpions will be playing in front of their home fans against the Merritt Island Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Satellite fell victim to Rockledge's stalwart defense two weeks ago and couldn't make it onto the board. They were beaten by the Raiders 44-0. Satellite's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Meanwhile, Merritt Island suffered a tough 33-13 defeat at the hands of Rockledge on Friday.
Despite the defeat, Merritt Island had strong showings from Shaun Hartman jr, who rushed for 36 yards and a touchdown, and Chris Kelly, who gained 96 total yards and a touchdown.
The losses dropped both teams to an identical 5-3.
Satellite was able to grind out a solid victory over Merritt Island in their previous matchup back in October of 2022, winning 22-14. Does Satellite have another victory up their sleeve, or will Merritt Island turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
