The Malta Mustangs can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent contest on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 58-37 margin over Fergus. Winning may never get old, but Malta sure is getting used to it with their seventh in a row.
Fergus lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Brody Jenness, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and two blocks. Kieran Netburn was another key contributor, scoring six points along with three blocks.
Malta's win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Fergus, they have fallen quite a ways from their 24-0 record last season and are now at 2-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Malta will take on Roy/Winifred at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Roy/Winifred will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Montana Rankings (they are ranked 35th, while Malta is ranked second). As for Fergus, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Sidney at 7:30 p.m.
