First Assembly Christian is 8-2 against Harding Academy since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Crusaders will challenge the Lions at 4:30 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with nine consecutive losses for First Assembly Christian and eight for Harding Academy.

First Assembly Christian fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Arlington on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 8-7.

Christian Forrest was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-4. He also hit a triple, marking his first of the season.

Meanwhile, Harding Academy didn't have quite enough to beat White Station on Thursday and fell 4-2.

Jordan Fisher was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing six innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. Fisher was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one triple and one run.

Fisher wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Andres Ortiz, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

First Assembly Christian's record is now 7-14-1. As for Harding Academy, their record now sits at 1-8.

First Assembly Christian took their win against Harding Academy in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 14-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Crusaders since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
