After flying high against the Richmond Oilers last Tuesday, the Kennedy Eagles came back down to earth. Kennedy was dealt a 47-19 defeat at the hands of Bethel on Friday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Kennedy has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Kennedy still got an impressive performance from Darion Adams, who scored eight points.
Bethel's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was H. Howard, who scored ten points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of D. Stricklen, who scored seven points along with five rebounds and two blocks.
Kennedy has not been sharp recently, as they've lost nine of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season. As for Bethel, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kennedy will take on Hercules at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bethel won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Rodriguez at 6:00 p.m. on January 13th. One thing working in Rodriguez's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four matchups.
