In what's become a running theme this season, the Eaton Reds gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They blew past Valley 60-39. The victory was nothing new for Eaton as they're now sitting on four straight.
Tayla Wiedeman continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds. Delaney Reuter was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Valley's loss came despite strong showings from Peyton Savolt and Nevaeh Jimenez. Savolt scored 23 points along with three steals, while Jimenez scored six points along with 15 rebounds and six assists. Jimenez is crushing the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season.
Eaton has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. As for Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eaton's road trip will continue as they head out to face Weld Central at 7:00 p.m. on February 8th. The timing isn't great for Weld Central: they have been struggling with four straight losses at home, while Eaton has snatched up four consecutive wins on the road. As for Valley, they will take on University at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Valley will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 197th, while University is ranked 36th).
