The victory got Winfield back to even at 1-1. As for Independence, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Winfield will square off against St. Albans at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Generals' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Independence, they will challenge Greenbrier West at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
