The Southeast Whitfield County Raiders''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their eighth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Sonoraville, falling 77-0. Southeast Whitfield County was already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.
Jaxon Pate was a one-man wrecking crew for Sonoraville as he threw for 242 yards and four touchdowns on only 15 passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Keegan Townsend also helped out with an impressive 86 receiving yards.
Southeast Whitfield County's defeat was their seventh straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their record down to 1-9. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 10-0 Central and 14-1 Cedartown (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 61.9% over those games). As for Sonoraville, their victory bumped their record up to 3-7.
Southeast Whitfield County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Sonoraville also has no future games currently scheduled.
