The Keller Indians will square off against the V.R. Eaton Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Keller is returning to their home field after beating Timber Creek on theirs, despite the fact Timber Creek has dominated at home this season. The Indians put the hurt on the Falcons with a sharp 15-6 victory on Saturday. Considering the Indians have won 12 contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

The home team had come away the winner the last seven times V.R. Eaton and Timber Creek had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Eagles fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 14-12 on Tuesday. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Eagles, who until this game were averaging 3.93 runs allowed.
Jordan Jameson was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Jacinto, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI.
Keller has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-9-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for V.R. Eaton, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-8-1.
Friday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Keller has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .434. However, it's not like V.R. Eaton struggles in that department as they've averaged .485. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Keller couldn't quite get it done against V.R. Eaton when the teams last played back in March as they fell 13-9. Will the Indians have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other softball content.
