The Viewmont Vikings's nine-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They came out on top against Woods Cross by a score of 73-60 (the very same score they lost by the week prior). For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Viewmont has managed all season.
Viewmont got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Drez Jensen out in front who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds. That's the first time this season that Jensen pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Cache Tuia, who scored 12 points along with five assists.
Viewmont's victory bumped their record up to 2-11. As for Woods Cross, they have fallen quite a ways from their 18-5 record last season and are now at 2-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Viewmont will take on Northridge at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Northridge is ranked 70th, while Viewmont is ranked 88th). As for Woods Cross, they will be playing at home against Roy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
