The Diego Rivera Huskies will take on the Panorama Pythons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Diego Rivera has five straight wins, Panorama has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Diego Rivera's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Brianna Collins, who posted 29 points along with eight rebounds and seven steals, and Desiree Aguillon, who scored 18 points in addition to six steals and five assists. Collins has been hot for a while, having posted three or more steals the last 41 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Da'Leja Dodd, who earned eight points and six boards.
They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Diego Rivera was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January of 2024.
Meanwhile, Panorama played a tough match on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Van Nuys, falling 76-33. The Pythons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-10.
Diego Rivera will need to focus on slowing down VALERY QUEZADA, one of several Panorama players who made an impact when they last played. She went 6-for-14 en route to 17 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. That was a full 51.5% of Panorama's points, marking the fifth time in a row QUEZADA has put up more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was YESSENIA QUEZADA, who almost dropped a double-double with 14 points and nine boards.
Diego Rivera pushed their record up to 13-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 18.0 points over those games. As for Panorama, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-14.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Diego Rivera has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 34.9 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Panorama struggles in that department as they've been averaging 29.1 boards.
