Horton Posts Huge Game in 48-14 Win
Starting off the list is Weed's Marcus Horton, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Horton rushed for 201 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries, and also threw for 87 yards and a touchdown on only eight passes. His rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 145 rushing yards.
Unfortunately for Mt. Shasta, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Horton. Horton rushed for 230 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 13.5 yards per carry the last time he and the Bears duked it out back in September.

Nate Downey and Co. Win Fifth in a Row
Etna picked up their fifth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Nate Downey. Downey's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 113 rushing yards. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making six total tackles and defending a pass.
On the year, Downey has averaged 6.6 total tackles per game. It gets even more impressive: after five games last season, he was only averaging nine rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 109.8 rushing yards.

Wyatt Shaw Delivers Best Effort of Season
Redding Christian was led to victory by Wyatt Shaw, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Shaw wasn't messing around, throwing for 271 yards and four touchdowns while completing 94.4% of his passes, and also punching in a touchdown on the ground. The match was his third straight with three or more passing touchdowns.
On the season, Shaw has thrown 17 touchdowns while averaging 224 passing yards per game.

Ogden Came Up Big in Redding Christian's 40-18 Win
Another Redding Christian player making an appearance on this list is Brodie Ogden. He picked up 96 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He showed off some serious burst, connecting on a big catch for 56 yards.
