Newsome scored a full 42% of Oakcrest's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Myriam McGovern was another key contributor, scoring 5 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 steals.
The win got National Cathedral back to even at 1-1. As for Oakcrest, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.
