Softball Recap: Nashua South Has No Trouble Against Bedford

Nashua South's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Bedford Bulldogs. The victory was some much needed relief for the Purple Panthers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Cate Marvin made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up just one earned run off nine hits. Marvin was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one double.

In other batting news, Brooke Berger was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Maliyah Richer-Valentin was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI.

Nashua South was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .467. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Nashua South's win bumped their record up to 4-6-1. As for Bedford, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-8.
