In what's become a running theme this season, the Haslett Vikings gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They breezed by Mason on the road to the tune of 63-21. Winning may never get old, but Haslett sure is getting used to it with their eighth in a row.
Haslett found their leader in underclassman Alexis Turner, who scored no points along with nine assists. It was the first time this season that Turner posted eight or more assists.
Haslett's victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.9 points per game. As for Mason, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Haslett won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Brighton at 12:30 p.m. on January 27th. Averaging 12.75 points so far this season, Haslett's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so Brighton better be ready for a challenge. As for Mason, they will be playing at home against St. Johns at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
