The Nome-Beltz Nanooks will square off against the Nikiski Bulldogs on Friday. Nome-Beltz is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.
Last Saturday, Nome-Beltz made easy work of West Valley and carried off a 3-0 win.
Nome-Beltz got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 30-28, 25-17, 25-17.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Nome-Beltz to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alora Stasenko, who had seven kills and four aces. Those four aces gave Stasenko a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Benny Lie, who had 12 kills, two blocks, and two aces.
They weren't the only good servers: Nome-Beltz was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 17 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Nikiski, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Seward on Tuesday. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Seahawks recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.
Nikiski walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-14, 25-18, 23-25, 25-21.
Nome-Beltz's win bumped their record up to 12-8-2. As for Nikiski, their victory bumped their record up to 27-11-5.
