Samuel Gutierrez put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in February on Tuesday. As a matter of fact, he turned in his biggest game of the season, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Mountain View is 2-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 9-12 otherwise.

Gutierrez's strong effort led Mountain View over San Elizario and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles are limping into the matchup having lost 13 straight on the road dating back to last season.
