The Spring Creek Spartans won against the Churchill County Greenwave last Thursday with 70 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. Spring Creek enjoyed a cozy 70-51 win over the Greenwave. Spring Creek pushed the score to 53-31 by the end of the third, a deficit the Greenwave cut but never quite recovered from.
It was another big night for Darren Bylund, who scored 24 points along with five rebounds and two steals. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 19 or more in the last three games he's played. Jaron Johnson was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five rebounds.
Despite the loss, Churchill County saw an underclassman step up: Calin Anderson scored 14 points along with five rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Alves, who scored 13 points.
The win makes it two in a row for Spring Creek and bumps their season record up to 15-5. As for Churchill County, they now have a losing record at 11-12.
Spring Creek will head out on the road to take on the Lancers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. McQueen is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home. Churchill County will take on the Buckaroos at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lowry has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 28.
