The Raleigh Charter Phoenix's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They fell 50-38 to East Wake Academy. Raleigh Charter was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as East Wake Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead East Wake Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sean Hook, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Hook has scored at least a third of East Wake Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Forman, who scored ten points.
Raleigh Charter's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for East Wake Academy, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing NCSSM: Durham the next time they take the court. East Wake Academy will host NCSSM: Durham at 8:00 p.m. on Monday, while Raleigh Charter will head out to face them at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
