The Cypress Woods Wildcats's three-game losing streak came to an end on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 48-25 margin over Cypress Park. The victory was just what Cypress Woods needed coming off of a 78-22 loss in their prior matchup.
Cypress Woods' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kosi Igwebuike, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds. Igwebuike has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalia Reyna, who scored ten points along with three steals.
Cypress Woods' victory bumped their record up to 11-16. As for Cypress Park, they bumped their record down to 3-16 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Cypress Woods will be playing at home against Cypress Ranch at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Cypress Ranch presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Cypress Woods in Texas (Cypress Ranch is ranked 259th, while Cypress Woods is ranked 572nd). As for Cypress Park, they will head out on the road to square off against Cypress Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Cypress Springs will be looking to extend their current 18-game winning streak.
