Pendleton will be defending their home turf for the first time on Thursday when they go up against Palmetto at Pendleton High School at 6:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the game is expected to be close.
Pendleton had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. Pendleton weren't too far behind, but the team still lost 10-16 to Pickens last Thursday.
Palmetto had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They took their contest against Woodmont last week 7-0. The score was all tied up at the break, but Palmetto was the better team in the second half.
Palmetto's win lifted them to 1-0 while Pendleton's loss dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if Palmetto can add another positive mark to their record or if Pendleton can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Palmetto's step.
