Durfee fell just short of Somerset Berkley Regional by a score of 70-67. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Somerset Berkley Regional's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brendan Mcdonald, who scored 22 points. Mason Medeiros was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with six assists and six rebounds.
Durfee's loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-1. As for Somerset Berkley Regional, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Durfee will head out on the road to face off against Attleboro at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Somerset Berkley Regional will be home for the holidays to greet Apponequet Regional at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
