Big Game from Jones As Saguaro Fell 30-20
Starting off the list is Saguaro's Marcel Jones, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Jones rushed for 161 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.5 yards per carry, and also threw for 158 yards and a touchdown.
Saguaro is on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-6. Jones and Saguaro will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Chaparral at 7:00 p.m. on October 18th.

Winning always takes teamwork, but on Friday Wyatt Horton stepped things up a notch to give Pinnacle the 'W'. Horton turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 75 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries, while also throwing for 163 yards and two touchdowns.
Chaparral's probably not too fond of Horton given he always seems to get the better of them. When Horton last faced the Firebirds back in September of 2023, he rushed for 48 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 198 yards and a touchdown.

Dean Vincent Turns in Season-Best Effort
Pinnacle was led to victory by Dean Vincent, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Vincent picked up a sack, forced a fumble, and made nine total tackles (2.0 for loss).
Chaparral's probably not too fond of Vincent given he always seems to get the better of them. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Vincent saw the Firebirds), he picked up a sack and made 11 total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Taurean Hall's Big Game Leads Centennial over Saguaro
Centennial found a leader in Taurean Hall as the squad took down Saguaro on Friday. Hall was unstoppable, picking up two sacks, forcing a fumble, and making four total tackles.
The win made it two in a row for Centennial and bumps their season record up to 2-4. Hall and Centennial will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Queen Creek at 7:00 p.m. on October 18th.
