The Sayre Redskins will face off against the Loyalsock Township Lancers at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with nine consecutive losses dating back to last season for Sayre and four for Loyalsock Township dating back to last season.
Saturday just wasn't the day for Sayre's offense. They came up short against  Millville on Saturday, falling  15-0.
Meanwhile, Loyalsock Township fought the good fight in their extra-innings  game against Lake-Lehman  on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell  19-14 to the Knights.
 Deryk Kulp put in work while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching three innings while giving up just one earned  (and five unearned) runs off   three  hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks any time he's  pitched this season. He was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave  him a new career-high in  doubles (two).
 In other batting news,  Drake Dupont made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  went 5-for-6 with three  doubles, two  RBI,  and one  run. Those  five  hits gave  him a new career-high.  Jacob Baylor was another key player,  getting on base  in three of his six plate appearances with one  stolen base and one  RBI.
 Sayre's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Loyalsock Township, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 0-3.
