The Arlington Eagles will head out to challenge the Lake Stevens Vikings at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Arlington will be strutting in after a win while Lake Stevens will be coming in after a loss.
Arlington gave up the first runs on Monday, but they didn't let that get them down. They were the clear victors by an 18-1 margin over Cascade. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.
Daniel Delcoure and Aiden Jones made a big impact no matter where they played. Throwing, Delcoure tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Jones pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave Delcoure a new career-high in strikeouts (five). At bat, Delcoure got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one RBI, while Jones got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. Jones is becoming a predictor of Arlington's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 4-10 when he doesn't).

In other batting news, Xander Carroll was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Reidar Gudgeon, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Jackson hit Lake Stevens with a six-run seventh inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Vikings took a 12-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Timberwolves. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Vikings, who until this contest were averaging 3.33 runs allowed.
Lake Stevens also got a good showing from Cade Landes, who tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run but no hits. Landes has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Ayden Hale stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: he went 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI. Cayden DeElena was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
Arlington's record is now 7-10. As for Lake Stevens, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-5.
Arlington might still be hurting after the 13-4 loss they got from Lake Stevens when the teams last played back in May of 2025. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
