When it comes to explaining why Corinth Christian Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Alden Hughes. Despite the final result, he scored 17 points. The contest was Hughes' eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Justin Fowler, who scored ten points.
Gainesville Christian Community's victory bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Corinth Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gainesville Christian Community will face off against Hart 2 Hart Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hart 2 Hart Academy is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. As for Corinth Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against First Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. First Christian is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
