Peyton has been on the road for three straight, but on Wednesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Lotus School For Excellence Meteors at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Saturday, Peyton didn't have too much trouble with Wiggins on the road as they won 71-52.
Peyton found their leader in underclassman Michael Perry, who scored 19 points along with 9 assists and 5 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Perry has scored at least 25% of Peyton's points. Ayden Breese was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with 5 rebounds.
Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Lotus School For Excellence at home against Aurora West College Prep Academy on Thursday as the squad secured a 66-17 win.
Lotus School For Excellence's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Noah Horra, who scored 12 points along with 5 assists and 5 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Surafel Lemma, who scored 12 points.
The losses dropped Peyton to 2-1 and Wiggins to 0-2.
Peyton took their win against Lotus School For Excellence in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 by a conclusive 69-45. Will Peyton repeat their success, or does Lotus School For Excellence have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
