Jordan Williams Sets Career High in Rushing Yards
Starting off the list is Ord's Jordan Williams, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Friday Williams rushed for 177 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 9.8 yards per carry, and also threw for 130 yards and a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.
This season, Williams has thrown 12 touchdowns while averaging 114.8 passing yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after eight games last season, he had one rushing touchdown. This year he is already up to nine.

BROGAN BENES was instrumental in extending Boone Central's winning streak to five on Friday. BENES was unstoppable, rushing for 231 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.5 yards per carry, and also picking up 32 receiving yards. His longest rush was for an incredible 80 yards.

On Friday, St. Paul got the W thanks in part to Gage Sack playing the best football he has all season. Sack rushed for 64 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries, and also picked up 75 receiving yards and a touchdown. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in October of 2023. His longest reception was for an incredible 75 yards.
St. Paul moved to 1-7 with that win, which also ended their nine-game losing streak. Sack and St. Paul will look to defend their home field on Friday against Grand Island Central Catholic at 7:00 p.m.

Tyion Francis Has Career Rushing Day
On Friday, Cross County had to settle for second even though Tyion Francis put up the best numbers he has all season. Francis rushed for 81 yards and a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 75-yard run.
Cross County's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-5. Francis and Cross County will square off against Centura at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Sack Came Up Big in Grand Island Central Catholic's 28-21 Defeat
Rounding off our Top Five is Grayson Sack of Grand Island Central Catholic. Sack threw for 177 yards and three touchdowns.
Grand Island Central Catholic moved to 6-2 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak. Sack and Grand Island Central Catholic will venture away from home to square off against St. Paul at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
