Meanwhile, Soddy Daisy got the win against Red Bank on Thursday by a conclusive 13-1. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won nine matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Soddy Daisy let Skylar Gooden and Ava Blue run wild. Gooden went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base, while Blue went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI Gooden has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Lilyana Blaylock, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.
East Hamilton's victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Soddy Daisy, their win bumped their record up to 14-10-1.
Monday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. East Hamilton hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .370. However, it's not like Soddy Daisy struggles in that department as they've averaged .372. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
