Horizon is 9-1 against Loveland since February of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Horizon Hawks will be playing in front of their home fans against the Loveland Red Wolves at 7:00 p.m. Horizon will be looking to keep their nine-game home win streak alive.
Horizon scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 80-42 victory over Prairie View at home. That 38 points margin sets a new team best for Horizon this season.
It was another big night for Morgan Ives, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten assists. That's the first time this season that she posted eight or more assists. Another player making a difference was Natalie Thornton, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Loveland suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Saturday. They were outmatched by Fossil Ridge on the road and fell 65-21. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Loveland has scored all season.
Horizon's victory bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Loveland, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.
