The Springtown Porcupines will head out on the road to challenge the Eagle Mountain Knights at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Springtown's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups.
Springtown will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating Decatur, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Porcupines walked away with a 10-6 victory over the Eagles on Friday.

Springtown let Harmony Flores and Addyson Fyffe run wild. Flores went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run, while Fyffe went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Flores is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Makinze Nation, who got on base in two of her four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
Springtown always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .528. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .528 or higher in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Eagle Mountain's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They lost 13-7 to Sanger. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Knights, who until this matchup were averaging 3.63 runs allowed.
Payton Soriano made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Zoe Hawthorne, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.
Springtown is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-9 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.2 runs over those games. As for Eagle Mountain, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-8-1.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Springtown hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .395. However, it's not like Eagle Mountain struggles in that department as they've averaged .315. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Springtown was able to grind out a solid victory over Eagle Mountain when the teams last played back in April of 2025, winning 4-0. Do the Porcupines have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Knights turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
