Pueblo's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Vez Chavez, who went 6 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 18 points. Those 18 points gave Chavez a new career-high. Tito Fierros had a dynamite game for Nogales, going 12 of 21 on his way to 26 points along with five assists and three steals. This is the second loss in a row for Pueblo and nudges their season record down to 7-16. As for Nogales, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-12.
Pueblo wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 78-43 loss against Walden Grove on the 31st. Nogales has also already played their next game, a 74-57 victory against Flowing Wells on the 31st.
