Holy Cross is 9-1 against Riverside since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Crusaders will take on the Vikings at 4:30 p.m. Holy Cross will be strutting in after a victory while Riverside will be coming in after a defeat.
Riverside will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: Holy Cross extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday. The Crusaders blew past Dunmore 6-0. Considering the Crusaders have won nine matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Not much got past AVA SCHMIDT, who gave up just three hits and racked up 15 Ks to keep Dunmore off the board. Those 15 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for SCHMIDT.
At the plate, MIA GALELLA was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. MEGAN HASSAJ was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
Meanwhile, Riverside entered their game against Western Wayne on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Vikings lost 15-3 to the Wildcats. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Kyleah Edwards was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Kate Reynolds, who went 1-for-2 with one home run.
Holy Cross' win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Riverside, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.
Everything went Holy Cross' way against Riverside when the teams last played on April 4th, as Holy Cross made off with an 11-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Crusaders since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
