The Traip Rangers just played last night, but they'll still head out to face the Pine Tree Academy Breakers at 6:30 p.m. on February 6th. Traip has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since January 11.
On Monday, Traip came up short against the Saints and fell 57-47. While losing is never fun, Traip can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked 111th, while the Saints are ranked 23rd).
Meanwhile, Pine Tree Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their seventh straight defeat. They were the victim of a tough 58-32 defeat at the hands of Sacopee Valley.
Traip has not been sharp recently as the team's lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season. As for Pine Tree Academy, their loss was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-12.
