C District 3 (8 Man) recap Oct. 3, 2012
Bluejacket was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after beating Wesleyan Christian 70-34. The Chieftains came in at 23 in the state poll after placing at number 30 last week.
Cherokee extended the longest winning streak in C District 3 (8 Man) this week by beating Mountain View-Gotebo, 58-12. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
Bluejacket's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. TK Francis threw for 342 and four touchdowns and Dylan Collins had 177 yards receiving. On the ground Dylan Anderson chipped in 199 yards. Austin Stoner helped Bluejacket's passing attack out by catching two balls for 71 yards.
Bluejacket's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Chieftains feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Francis has thrown for 1177 yards and 14 touchdowns this season, while Collins has 25 catches for 402 yards. Anderson leads the league in rushing with 651 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Deer Creek takes on Wesleyan Christian. The Eagles are currently in second, while Rodney Clark's team is in third.
Cherokee took down the Tigers 58-12 last week, the largest margin of any game.
