Despite the defeat, Altamonte Christian had strong showings from Ryan Almeda, who scored 24 points along with two steals, and Vincent Lee, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds. Almeda continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Nehemiah Rivera was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with five rebounds.
Altamonte Christian struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Pathways racked up 20 assists.
Pathways' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Carlos Escalera, who dropped a triple-double on 26 points, 12 rebounds, and ten assists. Escalera is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for four games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Steven Edwards, who dropped a double-double on 31 points and 13 rebounds.
Altamonte Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 17-10. As for Pathways, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 16 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season.
