Delbarton has been on the road for four straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will finish 2023 at home by hosting the Wayne Valley Indians at 7:00 p.m. Delbarton knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four contests -- so hopefully Wayne Valley likes a good challenge.
Last Wednesday, everything went Delbarton's way against Chatham as Delbarton made off with a 64-42 victory. That looming 64-42 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Delbarton yet this season.
Meanwhile, Wayne Valley lost a heartbreaker to St. Joseph Regional when they met back in December of 2021, and they left with a heavy heart again on Thursday. Wayne Valley might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting St. Joseph Regional an easy 61-40 win. The loss was Wayne Valley's first of the season.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Luke Rubino, who scored nine points. Jason Soto was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Delbarton's victory was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.0 points per game. As for Wayne Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-1.
Delbarton strolled past Wayne Valley when the teams last played back in December of 2019 by a score of 73-57. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Wayne Valley's Ameer Coubati, who scored 12 points along with six assists. Now that he won't be playing on Tuesday, will it be that much easier for Delbarton to walk away with another win? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
