There's no place like home for the Fullerton Warriors, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 39-8 victory over Elba at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Fullerton has posted yet this season.
Among those leading the charge was Jaci Maxfield, who scored 15 points along with four steals. Maxfield is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Georgia Bridger, who scored seven points along with four steals.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Elba struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Fullerton posted 12 assists.
Fullerton is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 7-9 record this season. As for Elba, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fullerton will square off against Lutheran-Northeast at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nebraska (Lutheran-Northeast is ranked 238th, while Fullerton is ranked 224th). As for Elba, they will head out on the road to take on Harvard at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Harvard is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
