This was a revenge game for the Cardinals: when they faced off against the Bears back in February, they had to take a 8-0 defeat.

Bridge City's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-10 and their overall record up to 5-11. As for Little Cypress-Mauriceville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-17-1.
