There wasn't a ton of movement in the power rankings this week, but there was certainly enough to keep things interesting. There's a new number one at the head of the rankings as well as a new caboose.
Can't Touch This
Hasbrouck Heights got a 41 - 7 win over Butler last week, and a key reason for the win was senior Jasiah Purdie. Purdie rushed for 139 yards and four touchdowns. That performance made Purdie one of the best players in the power rankings last week.
This Week's Big Showdown
One of the hottest tickets last week involved the clash between St. Joseph Regional (1st in the power rankings) and Bergen Catholic (2nd). St. Joseph Regional came out on top against Bergen Catholic with a 13 - 0 win. St. Joseph Regional's defense outmaneuvered the Bergen Catholic offensive line and got to the QB for four sacks.
No Stoppin 'Em
Camden was the better team in every quarter against Woodrow Wilson last week and consequently the better team overall. Camden finished its game with a 39 - 28 win. One of the main ringleaders for it was senior Monte Williams, who earned two touchdowns and 132 yards rushing the ball. The combined 67 points was the most of any game featuring a power-ranked team.
Can't Stop Won't Stop
It was another outing, another win last week for the team with the longest stretch of success (13 consecutive games). Ramapo earned a pretty comfortable 42 - 22 victory over Summit. Ramapo saw its record improve to 13-0 and its power rank jump six places as a result.
