McFarland had lost seven games straight , but after bumping their record up to 5-13 on Monday that streak is in the rearview. Everything went their way against the Delano Tigers as they made off with a 16-4 win. The Cougars' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

As for Delano, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-18-1 record this season. Their loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

For Delano's part, they saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dezarae Pimentel, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Coming up, McFarland will host Laton at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Delano, they will head out on the road to take on Taft at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 7.3 runs per game this season.
