Volleyball Recap: Mora Wins Going Away Against Raton

Mora won the last time they faced Raton and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Rangers/Rangerettes were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Tigers.

Mora's got stronger as the match went on, holding Raton to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 26-24, 25-21.

Despite the defeat, Raton saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Aveah Marquez had 16 digs. Those 16 digs set a new season-high mark for Marquez.

Mora's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Raton, they moved to 5-2 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mora will venture away from home to challenge Springer at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Raton, they will head out to take on Pecos at 10:30 a.m. on Friday.
