Pittston has gone 9-1 against Dallas recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Patriots will venture away from home to square off against the Mountaineers at 4:15 p.m. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Pittston sitting on four straight victories and Dallas on five.
On Monday, Pittston made easy work of Holy Redeemer and carried off a 13-3 win. The result was nothing new for the Patriots, who have now won six contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Samantha Herbert was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Herbert was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with four RBI and one double. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more RBI the last four times she's played.
In other batting news, Pittston got a big performance out of Julianna Cocco, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI. Those three RBI gave Cocco a new career-high. Marina Antal was another key player, going 3-for-5 with one home run.
Pittston kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in ten consecutive games.
Dallas came out on top against Hazleton Area on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fifth inning. The Mountaineers walked away with an 8-3 victory over the Cougars. The game was the first time the Mountaineers have beaten the Cougars on their field since April 28, 2021.
NINA BARROUK made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits. BARROUK was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on SYDNEY HAYDU, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That stolen base was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was SOPHIA MAIER, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases and one run.
Pittston pushed their record up to 7-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.5 runs over those games. As for Dallas, their record now sits at 7-3.
Wednesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Pittston hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .399. However, it's not like Dallas struggles in that department as they've averaged .314. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Pittston's way against Dallas when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Pittston made off with an 8-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Patriots since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
