Grafton is 10-0 against Poquoson since November of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Grafton Clippers will be playing at home against the Poquoson Islanders at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Grafton is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Poquoson in Virginia (Grafton is ranked 42nd, while Poquoson is ranked 308th).
Grafton posted their closest victory yet this season on Friday. They skirted past Smithfield 49-47.
Meanwhile, Poquoson came up short against Nandua on Tuesday and fell 59-48.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Dominic Galacgac, who scored 16 points. Dayne Galacgac was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Grafton's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Poquoson, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-8.
Grafton strolled past Poquoson in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a score of 58-39. Will Grafton repeat their success, or does Poquoson have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
