Southampton Academy suffered a rough 38-15 loss at the hands of the Vikings. Southampton Academy has struggled against the Vikings recently, as their game on Monday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Brunswick Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Emily King, who scored 23 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which King has scored at least a third of Brunswick Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Lexi Howerton, who scored 12 points.
Southampton Academy now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Brunswick Academy, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-4.
Southampton Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against the Patriots at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Amelia Academy is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Brunswick Academy will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against the Vikings at 6:30 p.m. on February 1st. Halifax Academy is on a three-game streak of home wins, the Vikings a six-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
