The Warren Central Vikings will take on the Brookhaven Panthers at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Warren Central will be strutting in after a win while Brookhaven will be coming in after a defeat.
Warren Central took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They never let Vicksburg get on the board and left with an 18-0 victory. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Gators recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.
Madison Pant made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. Pant was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one RBI.

In other batting news, Warren Central got a massive performance out of Kennadi Willaims, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one double. Those four RBI gave Willaims a new career-high. Another player making a difference was MC Allred, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Warren Central hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least two batters in five consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Brookhaven came up short against South Jones on Tuesday, falling 12-6. The Panthers have struggled against the Braves recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.
Jayonna Pendleton made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 3-for-4.
Warren Central pushed their record up to 7-8 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.3 runs over those games. As for Brookhaven, their loss dropped their record down to 11-9.
Warren Central took their victory against Brookhaven in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 15-1 score. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
